In a segment titled Big Questions With Even Bigger Stars, Reynolds and Colbert shared a blanket under the stars where they shared their thoughts concerning superpowers and what happens after you die.
"I'd like to have this super cool alien hi-tech ring," Colbert said in reference to Reynolds' 2011 Green Lantern film after he was asked which superpower he would want. "
And it's green and it has a lantern on it, and I can use my imagination to make anything out of green light," he continued. "Wow, that's a really dumb super power," the Deadpool star replied.
"I don't know about you, but I'm going to Canadian heaven," Reynolds said on the subject of dying. American heaven, the actor said, exists "inside the body of Toby Keith."
In closing, Reynolds asked the late night host what is the meaning of Life in reference to his upcoming sci-fi thriller that also stars Jake Gyllenhaal.
"Well, I suppose it's that we're all here to do good work and treat one another," Colbert replied to which Reynolds responded, "No, no, I meant my new movie, Life, do you know what it's about?"
Reynolds then joked about having no idea what the movie is about due to not reading the script. "Oh, I never read any of my scripts unless there's lots and lots of pictures, love pictures!" he said.
Life opens in theaters March 24.
