March 20 (UPI) -- Kim Kardashian says she expected to be raped and killed during her Paris robbery in October.

The 36-year-old reality star recounted the harrowing experience for the first time on Sunday's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

"The guy came in, grabbed the phone from me, threw me on the bed, and I was like, 'This is it,'" Kardashian recalled of the robbery, which took place Oct. 3 at her hotel in Paris while sister Kourtney Kardashian and bodyguard Pascal Duvier were out.

"I fully mentally prepped myself [to be assaulted] -- and then he didn't," she said, adding that one of the two robbers then put duct tape around her legs and held a gun up to her head.

"I just knew that was the moment. They're just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed that Kourtney's going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed," the star shared.

Kardashian was robbed of her cellphone and millions of dollars worth of jewelry, including her 20-carat diamond engagement ring from Kanye West. She thanked her family and fans for their support in a series of tweets prior to the episode.

"Tonight's episode is going to be very tough for me," Kardashian admitted. "However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted."

"I have always shared so much & I'm not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me," she explained. "I would never wish this experience upon anyone, but have learned some valuable lessons &feel so blessed to be safe home w my babies & husband."

"To my friends, family, and loved ones I can't thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most. To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work," the star added. "I took a tragic horrific experience and did not let it diminish me, rather grew and evolved and allowed the experience to teach me."
