BBC America releases new 'Doctor Who' Season 10 trailer

March 13 (UPI) -- BBC America has released a Doctor Who trailer Monday, featuring Peter Capaldi as the time-traveling Doctor and Pearl Mackie as his new companion Bill.

"This is the gateway to everything that ever was or ever can be. This is Doctor Who Season 10," teased a message accompanying the 1-minute video on YouTube.

The beloved science-fiction series is to return April 15 with fresh episodes.

Capaldi recently announced he is leaving at the end of the year after three seasons.
