The CW renews 'The 100' for Season 5

March 12 (UPI) -- The CW says it has ordered a fifth season of its sci-fi drama The 100.

"#The100 has been renewed for Season 5! You better catch up now on cwtv.com or The CW App," the cable network tweeted.

Set nearly a century after a nuclear apocalypse, the series follows a group of teens raised in space stations orbiting the Earth and sent to determine if the planet is habitable, so their fellow space travelers may return. The ensemble includes Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Christopher Larkin, Paige Turco and Isaiah Washington.
