'Bugs Bunny,' 'Scooby-Doo' will be available to stream via new Boomerang platform

March 8 (UPI) -- Time Warner's Turner and Warner Bros. say they are teaming up to launch a Boomerang video-subscription service in the spring.

This will be the first time the two companies offer the Hanna-Barbera, Looney Tunes and MGM animation libraries on a streaming platform.

Among the properties that will be available soon are Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, The Jetsons and The Flintstones.

The service will be ad-free and available domestically on Web, iOS and Android devices for $4.99 per month or $39.99 annually. It will later expand to several more platforms, including Amazon, Roku and Apple TV.

"Boomerang is a beloved brand that has always had multi-generational appeal and some of the greatest animated shows ever created," Christina Miller, president of Turner's Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Adult Swim, said in a statement. "Our on-going partnership with Warner Bros. around this new premium service continues our strategy of making sure our fans are engaged with fresh and fun content whenever and wherever they want it."
