Julianne Hough kicks off bachelorette party weekend

Bride-to-be Julianne Hough kicked off her bachelorette party weekend Thursday.

The 28-year-old professional dancer rocked a white veil and bikini in a photo from her cruise with former Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev and other pals.

"#JulesBEACHelorette," she captioned a picture on Instagram of the group. "Thank you @celebritycruises for the gift of this amazing Bachelorette party!"

Dobrev shared other posts on her own account, including a snapshot of two Instax photos. She also posted a gif of the group striking a pose in workout gear.

"Gotta work on the bikini bod when you go on a BEACHelorette #JuliannesBeaches," the actress, also 28, wrote.

Hough got engaged to NHL star Brooks Laich in August 2015 after nearly two years of dating. She told Entertainment Tonight in November that she and the 33-year-old hockey player are hoping for a smaller wedding.

"It's fun," the dancer said of planning. "We do what we can, when we can. We're not too stressed about it. All we want is just to have our family and our close friends there.

"We set a date, so that's step one," she shared. "We both want small and intimate, but I come from a very large family, so as small and intimate as it can get with my big family."

Hough and her brother, Derek Hough, came to fame on the ABC reality competition Dancing with the Stars. She has since starred in Fox's television production of Grease Live!, which premiered in January 2016.
