Netflix releases first teaser trailer for David Fincher's 'Mindhunter'

March 1 (UPI) -- Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming crime thriller executive produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron titled Mindhunter.

The clip, released Wednesday, features glimpses at series leads Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany as two FBI agents in 1979 who interview incarcerated serial killers in order to solve new cases.

"We can't like everything we do," Groff says in the trailer. "We're talking to serial killers. You want truffles? You gotta get in the dirt with the pigs."

Adapted from the Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas book Mind Hunter: Inside FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit, the series is also stars Anna Torv and Hannah Gross.

The series marks the second time Fincher has collaborated Netflix following his executive producer role on House of Cards.

Mindhunter is set to premiere on Netflix in October.
