Starz's 'White Princess' gets trailer and release date

Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Starz released a 90-second trailer for its upcoming series The White Princess Thursday.

"This isn't marriage, this is war. Watch the official trailer for The White Princess, premiering April 16 on Starz," declared a message accompanying the clip on Facebook.

Set in the 15th century, the royal drama is the follow-up to the miniseries The White Queen.

Jacob Collins-Levy plays Britain's King Henry VII; Jodie Comer plays Princess Elizabeth; Essie Davis plays Princess Elizabeth's mother Elizabeth Woodville; Joanne Whalley plays the Duchess of Burgundy, Elizabeth of York's aunt; Michelle Fairley plays Margaret Beaufort, Henry VII's mother; and Suki Waterhouse plays Cecily of York, the younger sister of Princess Elizabeth.

Emma Frost is the showrunner.
