Kate McKinnon to play Ms. Frizzle in Netflix's 'Magic School Bus' re-boot

Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Comedian Kate McKinnon is to voice the character of Ms. Frizzle in The Magic School Bus: Rides Again, Netflix announced.

The Emmy Award-winning actress is best known for her work on the sketch-comedy series Saturday Night Live and in the movie Ghostbusters.

The Magic School Bus is based on a series of science-themed children's books written by Joanna Cole and illustrated by Bruce Degen. It was previously adapted as an animated television series in the 1990s, with Lily Tomlin voicing the beloved teacher Ms. Frizzle.
