PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Comedy Central says it has renewed Drunk History for a 14-episode, fifth season to premiere this year.
The announcement was made Friday by Kent Alterman, the cable channel's president.
"More Drunk History? Say no more," Alterman said in a statement.
"So excited and grateful to do a fifth season," host Derek Waters added. "Oh, what a ride it's been! Thank you for driving me home."
Created for television by Waters and Jeremy Konner, who also split directing duties, Drunk History is billed as "the liquored-up narration of our nation's history." It features various guest stars drinking alcohol, then trying to explain important moments from America's past.
A highlight from Season 4 of Drunk History was the telling of the story of Alexander Hamilton [played by Ali Shawkat] and Aaron Burr [played by Aubrey Plaza,] narrated by Hamilton musical creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda.
