NEW YORK, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Casey Affleck and Chance the Rapper get into the Christmas spirit as part of a new promo for their upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.

The clip, released Wednesday, features the actor and rapper unsuccessfully attempting to decorate the Rockefeller Christmas tree using a tiny step-ladder.

"I don't think we thought this through," Affleck says while holding up a star ornament to place at the top."You just gotta believe," Chance replies.

After Affleck calls the ladder a "foot stool," Chance gets offended and jokes, "I'm not gonna listen to any more slander about this ladder. You know what this ladder means to me."

The pair are set to appear on the long-running sketch comedy show on Dec. 17 with Affleck hosting and Chance performing as the musical guest.
