Malika Haqq dating 'Jersey Shore' alum Ronnie Ortiz-Magro

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Malika Haqq and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are going public with their relationship.

The 33-year-old actress and 31-year-old Jersey Shore alum confirmed they're dating in a statement Friday after meeting on the set of the E! reality series Famously Single.

"We had a lot in common from the start and it was an instant friendship. The attraction quickly became a mutual romance," Haqq and Ortiz-Magro told E! News.

"Our support for one another through this challenging experience made us strong in a very short period of time. We had an opportunity to really get to know each other living in such close quarters," the couple said.

"Our family and friends are aware that we are together and extremely supportive of our relationship," the pair added.

Haqq and Ortiz-Magro will appear on Famously Single Season 2, which premieres in 2017. Ortiz-Magro had sent fans into a frenzy earlier this week by posting a photo of himself kissing Haqq at sunset in Los Angeles.

Ortiz-Magro previously had a famously tumultuous relationship with Jersey Shore co-star Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola.

Haqq is the best friend of reality star Khloe Kardashian, and has made numerous appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. She most recently starred in the TV One movie Definitely Divorcing.
