Report: 'Today' anchor Savannah Guthrie renews NBC contract

NEW YORK, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Savannah Guthrie will reportedly stay put at the Today show.

The 44-year-old television anchor recently signed a new deal with NBC to remain on the morning show for multiple more years, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Guthrie was made co-anchor of Today in 2012, and last renewed her contract in 2015. The New York Post reported last week that Guthrie's co-anchor, longtime Today host Matt Lauer, recently extended his own run with the show.

"The new deal with take him well into 2018," a source said of the rumored $20 million contract.

Guthrie reportedly signed her new deal prior to beginning her maternity leave last week. The anchor announced in June that she's pregnant and expecting her second child with husband Michael Feldman.

"I didn't have my act together," she recently reflected in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "I was doing the best I could in my personal life, and my professional life was going better. So you know, you just keep doing the thing that works."

"I think that's why I feel such an acute level of gratitude about getting to have a baby. Because I know how late it is in the game, you know? I'm a person of faith. It feels like the greatest embrace from God that I can imagine, to get to have a baby. And to get to have a second is just beyond," the star added.

Guthrie and Feldman married in 2014 and welcomed their first child, daughter Vale, the same year. The television personality revealed in September that their second child will be a son.
