COLUMBIA, S.C., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- WWE Cruiserweight Rich Swann took home the Cruiserweight Championship Tuesday on the first episode of WWE's newest Network show, 205 Live.

Swann earned the gold after he impressively defeated defending champion The Brian Kendrick in the main event after a grueling match that The Wizard of Odd controlled throughout.

Kendrick had slowed down Swann's high-flying athleticism by focusing on his back and neck. The Outlandish one just wouldn't give up however, even after withstanding Kendrick's devestating Captain's Hook submission hold.

The bout came to an end after Swann was able to deliver a flurry of kicks to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

The debut episode of 205 Live also featured The Bollywood Boyz defeating Tony Nese and Drew Gulak and Jack Gallagher rising victorious over Ariya Daivari.
