The 31-year-old singer confirmed as much Saturday on Instagram after he was spotted filming with the Late Late Night host the day previous.
"When an unstoppable force meets an immovable object @j_corden Thanks for the lift," he captioned a photo of himself in a car with Corden.
Mars released his third studio album, 24K Magic, the same day he and Corden were spotted filming. He will promote the record on an 85-date world tour that begins March 28, 2017, in Antwerp, Belgium.
"I just really care about what people see," the star said of his onstage presence on Sunday's episode of 60 Minutes. "I want them to know that I'm working hard for them."
"The artists that I look up to like, you know, Michael [Jackson], Prince, James Brown. You watch them and you understand that they're paying attention to the details of their art," he explained. "They care so much ... That's what I've watched my whole life and admired."
Mars is known for such songs as "Uptown Funk," "Just the Way You Are" and "Locked Out of Heaven." His previous albums, Doo-Wops & Hooligans and Unorthodox Jukebox, debuted at No. 3 and No. 2, respectively, on the Billboard 200.
