LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Ashton Kutcher has shared his original idea to name his upcoming son with wife Mila Kunis Hawkeye while appearing on Conan.

"There was a rallying cry from a collective that believed in the name Hawkeye," the actor explained to host Conan O' Brien Wednesday.

"I'm an Iowan, to have a kid named Hawkeye [after the University of Iowa football team], and it's like MASH," Kutcher continued, referencing character Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce from the iconic Korean War series.

"He could be a doctor!" the 38-year-old added.

Kunis however was not fond of the name and shot it down. "Didn't get across the Mila threshold. It came to the threshold but then it got knocked down," Kutcher said.

Back in October, Kutcher and Kunis revealed that they are expecting a baby boy while appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers. The couple are already parents to 2-year-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle.
