TONTITOWN, Ark., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Joy-Anna Duggar announced she has officially entered into a courtship with her friend of 15 years, Austin.
Duggar made the announcement on Tuesday's episode of the 19 Kids and Counting spinoff, Counting On. The episode was devoted to the wedding of her sister, Jinger, who recently married former pro soccer player Jeremy Vuolo.
In a video posted to their family's website, Duggar and Austin revealed their plans to spend intentional time together.
"Just asked her to enter a courtship with me," Austin said while the two sat atop a mountain in their home state of Arkansas.
"I said yes!" Duggar said. "We've known each other for a long time."
"Almost 15 years," Austin said. "I picked this spot because the last time we were here together was August 1, 2015."
"There was a whole group of us that came up and we were just hanging out and it was really late at night, stars were just gorgeous," Duggar said of the mountain spot. "For me that's really special, but then just being with him. And then now it's even more special because it's where we start our courtship."
