The network is extending its sophomore run due to averaging 2.34 million viewers and for the show's recent resurgence with new cast members Nick Zano (Citizen Steel) and Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Vixen).

DC's Legends of Tomorrow is the CW's fourth DC Comics based superhero series that was spun-off from network staples Arrow and Flash. A crossover special that also features Supergirl is planned for December.
