'Fresh Prince' alum Tatyana Ali posts first photo with son

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- New mom Tatyana Ali gave fans a first glimpse of her son on Monday.

The 37-year-old actress and singer shared a picture with son Edward Aszard Rasberry on Instagram after welcoming the infant with husband Vaughn Rasberry in September.

"Spending my days learning how to keep up with this little pumpkin. Happy Halloween everybody!!!" she captioned the photo.

Ali and Rasberry, an assistant professor at Stanford University, married in July after nearly two years of dating. The actress gave birth to Edward on Sept. 16 after announcing in March that she was expecting.

"There are so many things I want to show him," Ali wrote in a blog post for People on Monday. "Then I remember to slow down. Time moves quickly on its own; no need for me to push it along."

"When he sleeps, he leans his chin on his fist, like a tiny thinker. His father does the same. It's uncanny," she revealed. "And he changes every day. One moment he looks like his father, the next me, the next a grandparent."

"My prayers for him imbue every breath I take," the star said. "I see eternity in his sable brown eyes -- the blood and promise of generations past and all our hope for the future."

Ali came to fame as Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She has since portrayed Roxanne on The Young and the Restless, and released the EP Hello in 2014.
