Camilla Luddington of 'Grey's Anatomy' expecting first child

"We are beyond happy and I cannot wait to bring you all on this journey with me!" the actress said.

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Grey's Anatomy star Camilla Luddington is going to be a first-time mom.

The 32-year-old English actress, who plays Jo Wilson on the ABC series, announced she's pregnant and expecting with boyfriend and fellow actor Matthew Alan in an Instagram post Wednesday.

"I am SO excited to FINALLY share with you all new that I've managed to keep secret for what seems like forever now... I am pregnant!!!!!! This girl gets to be a 'cool mom' ha!" Luddington captioned a photo of herself with a pumpkin.

"We are beyond happy and I cannot wait to bring you all on this journey with me!!!! I'll be posting progress pics as the weeks go on but for now I figured I'd post this pumpkin because come spring I'll have a belly that size," she explained.

"So much love to you all and nods of respect to the few of you who guessed right in the past few months - yes I saw your comments on that Ellen [Pompeo]/me video!! Love Camilla xxxx," the star concluded.

Luddington and Alan, who has appeared on Murder in the First, The Mentalist and Longmire, started dating earlier this year. Fans noticed the actress had a slight baby bump in a video Pompeo, Luddington's Grey's Anatomy co-star, posted in September.

Luddington is also known for playing Kate Middleton in the Lifetime movie William and Kate: The Movie. She provided the voice and motion capture for Lara Croft for the video games Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
