NEW YORK, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Patti LuPone is headed for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

The CW series confirmed as much Wednesday by retweeting news that the 67-year-old actress will join star Rachel Bloom in Season 2.

LuPone will guest star in Episode 10 as a "pivotal person" from Rebecca's (Bloom) past, according to E! News. The pair reconnect after Rebecca "returns to her hometown for a family celebration."

Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow and Blood & Oil actor Scott Michael Foster also have guest spots in Season 2. Snow will appear in three episodes, while Foster will have a recurring role.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend follows Rebecca, a New York lawyer who leaves her high-powered firm to follow her first love (Vincent Rodriguez III) back to California. The series co-stars Santino Fontana, Donna Lynne Champlin and Gabrielle Ruiz.

The big picture for Season 2 is "change is hard," Bloom told Moviefone last week. "Changing your life is hard: Once you isolate what might make you happy, how do you actually put that into practice? And so that's something we're really exploring."

The challenge for the second season is to "make it still feel real, and to keep challenging ourselves and keep doing new stuff, especially with the musical numbers. Not touch on things we've done before," she added.
