LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy announced Taissa Farmiga will return to the show during its current sixth season, which will have a "radical twist."

Wednesday's episode will see main cast members Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates assume different roles while the show is halfway through the season.

"It's a radical twist, a completely new form of storytelling," said co-creator Ryan Murphy.

"What happened with this season, which is really broken into two halves, one through five, which everybody has hopefully seen, and then six through 10," he added. "It's a completely different narrative form. Things that you thought to be true about people are revealed to not be true. And it was exciting to work on, because it was like working on two shows at once. The big twist of episode six takes you into a complete other world."

Taissa Farmiga is also returning to the show in, what Murphy calls, "a mind-blowing twist."

American Horror Story: Roanoke airs on FX on Wednesday nights.
