Amber Rose: I felt 'body shamed' by Julianne Hough on 'Dancing'

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Amber Rose says she felt "body shamed" by Julianne Hough on Dancing with the Stars this week.

The 32-year-old television personality admitted Friday on her Loveline podcast that she took offense to Hough's criticism of her "Booty" routine with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Monday's episode of Dancing.

"[There] was a point in the dance where I had to lift my leg up and Maks dipped me & [Julianne] said, 'Oh, I'm uncomfortable,' and I instantly, I did feel body shamed," Rose revealed.

"All the beautiful professional dancers ... they dress very sexy and they do splits and they grind up on these guys and they look absolutely stunning -- and they get a standing ovation," she said. "For me and my body -- my hips, my [expletive], my breasts -- made her feel 'uncomfortable.'"

Rose and Chmerkovskiy scored a 25 with their salsa to "Booty" and were the last couple to be called safe. Hough responded to Rose's comments by saying her "uncomfortable" remark had nothing to do with the TV personality's body.

"To be clear, that was a produced package, not live coverage, and they can put those sound bytes anywhere. My 'uncomfortable' comment was about the fact that I felt like I wanted more out of the performance," she told E! News.

"When someone is doing a hot, sexy dance like that without the right amount of energy that is required, it can be uncomfortable to watch," the judge explained. "Any kind of body shaming goes against everything I believe in."

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m ET on ABC.
