BEVERLY HILLS , Calif., Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Netflix released the second trailer for its comic-book adaptation Marvel's Luke Cage Monday.
Starring Mike Colter, Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Frank Whaley and Rosario Dawson, the show is to begin streaming online Friday.
This is the third part of Netflix's Defenders franchise to debut on Netflix, following Marvel's Daredevil and Marvel's Jessica Jones, and leading up to the release of Marvel's Iron Fist, and ultimately, Marvel's The Defenders.
"After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city -- forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury," Netflix's synopsis for Luke Cage said.
