Sarah Paulson, Courtney B. Vance, Sterling K. Brown win Emmys for 'People v. O.J. Simpson'

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- FX's addictive, true-crime saga The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story was named Best Limited Series at Sunday's Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

Cast standouts Sarah Paulson, Courtney B. Vance and Sterling K. Brown also were recognized as Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie for their respective portrayals of Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark, defense attorney Johnnie Cochran and prosecutor Christopher Darden.

The 10-part series featured Cuba Gooding, Jr. as the titular football hero-turned-double homicide suspect. It co-starred John Travolta, David Schwimmer and Nathan Lane as the Dream Team of high-priced lawyers who helped get Simpson acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman.

Paulson brought the real Clark with her to the Emmy Awards, which honor excellence on the small screen.

Regina King won the prize for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie for her work in the similarly titled drama American Crime.
