LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Teen Wolf has set a Season 6 premiere date in late fall.

The MTV series revealed on its official Twitter page Wednesday that the show will return for its sixth and final season in November.

"November 15th. 9/8c. The final seasons begins," the series captioned a gif of Dylan O'Brien and Holland Roden as "Stiles" Stilinski and Lydia Martin.

The announcement comes nearly six months after O'Brien was severely injured on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure. The 25-year-old actor's future with Teen Wolf was uncertain for some time after the incident.

MTV had confirmed O'Brien would return to the series by releasing photos of him as Stiles in July. Showrunner Jeff Davis told Entertainment Weekly at the time that Stiles would play a major role in Season 6.

"Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season's mystery revolves around him," Davis revealed. "We're going to see just what Stiles' friendship means to Scott, Lydia and Malia."

"We're going to see exactly why he's Scott's best friend, what it means that he's Malia's human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won't-they relationship is with Lydia," he elaborated. Scott and Malia are played by Tyler Posey and Shelley Hennig, respectively.
