LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- The Good Wife star Jeffrey Dean Morgan wasn't a fan of the show's finale.
The 50-year-old actor, who played Jason Crouse on the CBS series, admitted as much to Entertainment Weekly, explaining there wasn't closure for Jason and love interest Alicia Florrick (Juliana Margulies).
"I didn't like it," Morgan confessed. "But it's not my show, you know what I mean? If Julianna was happy, then I was happy."
"My feeling was we raised so many questions about Jason and this relationship that he had with Alicia that I felt like nothing was ever answered, you know?" he said. "So I walked away frustrated for my character and Alicia."
Morgan's character, a private investigator hired by Alicia's firm, was introduced in the show's final season. The season saw the pair become lovers, but ended with Jason appearing to just walk away.
"We don't know [what actually happened]," the actor said. "We think maybe he took off and she's looking for him at the end. I don't know."
"But all my stuff is selfish," he qualified. "I wasn't happy with the ending because I wasn't happy [for] Jason. So that's not a very fair assessment for the audience or for [creators Michelle and Robert King], who are obviously brilliant."
The Good Wife ended in May after seven seasons. Archie Panjabi, who played Kalinda Sharma for six, told reporters she had "a great time" on the series at the Television Critics' Association summer press tour this week.
