The Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe will be taped at California's Sony Studios on Aug. 27. It will air on the network Labor Day, Sept. 5.

"Comedy Central asked a bunch of ugly guys to make fun of a good-looking guy. I said 'yes' right away. Then I realized I wasn't the good-looking guy," Spade said in a statement about Lowe, his co-star in the comedy film Tommy Boy.

Previous roast subjects include Denis Leary, Justin Bieber, James Franco, Charlie Sheen, Roseanne, William Shatner and Donald Trump.

New Code Black co-star Lowe is best known for his work on the TV shows The Grinder, Parks and Recreation, Brothers & Sisters and The West Wing. He is also a former teen idol who appered in the classic 1980s movies The Outsiders, St. Elmo's Fire and About Last Night.
