Anthony Anderson, Amber Riley, Ludacris to guest star on 'Doc McStuffins' Season 4

LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- Season 4 of the animated pre-school series Doc McStuffins is to kick off July 29 on Disney Junior.

Anthony Anderson and Dawnn Lewis will guest star in the season premiere, "Welcome to McStuffinsville." The episode will be about what happens when "Doc's grandmother transports Doc to the magical world of McStuffinsville where she will carry on a family tradition by expanding her practice to the McStuffins Toy Hospital.

"There, on her first day as chief resident, Doc must tend to Stanley, a lonely, brokenhearted toy," a synopsis said.

Actress and recording artist Amber Riley will perform the show's new theme song, "Doc McStuffins: Toy Hospital," in an episode debuting Aug. 5.

Additional guest stars in Season 4 will include Robin Roberts, Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges, Molly Ringwald, Ellen Pompeo, Gabourey Sidibe and Vanessa Williams.

The series -- about a little girl who wants to be a doctor and practices by patching up ailing or broken toys -- debuted in 2012.
