LONDON, July 5 (UPI) -- Pop star Boy George said Tuesday he will not return to The Voice when the singing competition series moves from the BBC to ITV.

The Culture Club front man made the announcement shortly after his former co-star will.i.am confirmed he would be back for another season, despite the network shuffle.

"Not doing this season of 'The Voice on ITV but sending @iamwill my love. Watch this space for what I am up to!" he tweeted.

Boy George was on the mentors' panel for the show's most recent, fifth season on the BBC. He also will be seen early next year on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice.
