LOS ANGELES, June 15 (UPI) -- TNT says it has rescheduled the 2-hour season premiere of The Last Ship for Sunday.

The show's return was initially slated for last weekend, but was canceled out of respect for the victims of the Orlando nightclub massacre.

The post-apocalyptic drama, which features gun violence, stars Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra, Adam Baldwin and Jocko Sims.

"When a global pandemic wipes out 80 percent of the planet's population, the crew of a lone naval destroyer must find a way to pull humanity from the brink of extinction," a synopsis of the show said.
