LOS ANGELES, June 14 (UPI) -- The villainous Poison Ivy will be recast in Fox's hit comic book drama Gotham when the show returns for Season 3, according to a new report.

TV Line reports that actress Clare Foley, who has portrayed a younger version of the character Ivy Pepper on the series, will not be returning when Season 3 debuts this fall.

According to the report, Pepper will finally be morphing into the iconic Batman villain with an affinity for mother nature, leading the network to search for an older actress in her late teens.

Poison Ivy was last portrayed by Uma Thurman in 1997's Batman & Robin.

The eco-terrorist is rumored to be joined by classic Batman characters the Mad Hatter and Vicki Vale, marking their first appearances on Gotham.
