NEW YORK, June 13 (UPI) -- Tony Awards host James Corden teased several Broadway stars about their past guest appearances on Law & Order, a police procedural that taped in New York for two decades, ending in 2010.

"For those of you watching at home who aren't theater buffs, don't worry. You may not know some of these Broadway actors by name, but you will recognize them from your favorite television shows," Corden told the audience.

He then singled out for embarrassment Claire Danes, Michael Shannon, Billy Porter, Daveed Diggs and Leslie Odom, Jr., and showed early-career photos of them during their guest spots on Law & Order.

Corden saved for last, however, Danny Burstein, revealing no less than six different characters the actor played in various episodes of the franchise over the years.
