Ghostbusters, old and new, unite for dance party on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

LOS ANGELES, June 9 (UPI) -- The cast of the original Ghostbusters film joined the cast of the newest one for an unprecedented dance party on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Melissa McCarthy bopped to the memorable Ghostbusters theme song alongside Bill Murray, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd Wednesday night.

The singer of the original song, Ray Parker Jr., also made an appearance to sing the iconic theme song.

Afterward, the group of old and new Ghostbusters sat together for a joint interview regarding director Paul Feig's upcoming reboot and their general comedic dynamic.

"These women are performers," Aykroyd said.

"These girls did a really good job," Murray added. "And I can call them 'girls' because I am a boy."
