Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson to host the 2016 BET Awards

NEW YORK, June 7 (UPI) -- black-ish co-stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross are to return as hosts for this year's BET Awards ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The 16th annual event is to air live on the cable television network June 26.

"Tracee and I are thrilled that BET brought us back to host the BET Awards for the second year in a row," Anderson said in a statement Monday. "We had a great time last year and can't wait for viewers to see the new surprises we have in store on June 26!"

"I can't wait to host the BET Awards again with Anthony, who I always have a blast working with," added Ross. "The BET Awards is going to knock it out of the park again with a night full of amazing performances and presenters being honored in music, movies, television, and sports."

Recording artist Drake leads with nine nominations, followed by Beyoncé and Rihanna with five nods each.
