Cast member Ian Colletti says he and family are planning 'Preacher' viewing parties

NEW YORK, May 26 (UPI) -- Actor Ian Colletti admits he has a tough time putting into words what his new AMC series Preacher is all about.

Colletti wears a facial prosthetic to play disfigured Eugene/Arseface in the wickedly funny, Texas-set, supernatural drama, which is based on the 1990s comic books created by Northern Ireland's Garth Ennis. The 10-episode series follows Dominic Cooper's Jesse Custer, a minister with a violent past who is now seeking redemption. Arseface is one of his more well-meaning congregants.

Asked by UPI in New York recently, how he broke down his latest job for his family, Colletti laughed and replied, "How do you explain this to anyone?"

"It's so complicated," he went on. "It's just a lot of crazy characters in a very crazy universe. It's not like anything else."

He said he and his loved ones plan to watch the Seth Rogen-produced show together as new episodes premiere each weekend.

"They're very excited," he said. "It's funny. I genuinely am a longtime AMC fan -- Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Walking Dead, all of the above -- so my family has a party every Sunday night. We invite a bunch of friends and just watch whatever's on Sunday night. We've done this all the way back to when Breaking Bad premiered. So, it's funny how this has taken over the Sunday night slot. We're still going to do that. Just hang out and watch [it together.]"
