NEW YORK, May 26 (UPI) -- Adam Sandler and Jimmy Fallon donned cowboy hats and a pair of guitars to sing a duet in honor of men and women in uniform.

The two performed a parody of Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places," titled "Friends on All Bases," in front of an audience of military members Wednesday night. The soldiers were attending the show as part of Fleet Week.

"Now you're back in town and keeping us safe and sound/From that crazy-[expletive] Elmo in Times Square," the duo sang. "And you're good looking to, and if I saw you on Tinder you'd know I'd swipe right."

During the show, Sandler discussed how staunch he was about joining the military as a young boy. "It's all I ever talked about," he told Fallon during the interview. "Then I was like 15 at the dinner table and I was saying the same speech," he said, adding that his father slammed his dream because he was weak.

Sandler was promoting a new comedy tour alongside David Spade, Rob Schneider, Norm McDonald and others. "We haven't done anything like this in so long so we're having a blast," he said.
