NEW YORK, May 16 (UPI) -- AMC says it will air an analysis program called Talking Preacher following the season premiere and finale episodes of its upcoming series Preacher.
Talking Dead and Talking Saul host Chris Hardwick will preside over the hour-long, Preacher after-show, which will feature series cast, creators, producers and celebrity fans discussing and analyzing the supernatural show, which is to debut May 22, with a 90-minute episode.
Talking Preacher will have its premiere May 29 following an encore airing of the Preacher pilot. The inaugural guests will be Preacher star Dominic Cooper and series executive producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin.
The second episode of Talking Preacher will air after the Preacher Season 1 finale on July 31.
"It's very clear that Chris Hardwick knows how to lead and navigate a conversation about hordes of zombies on Talking Dead and shifty lawyers on Talking Saul, so we can't wait to see how he'll handle this new batch of insanely, out-of-this-world characters from Preacher," Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV, said in a statement Monday. "It's amazing to see Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's comic creation come to life and I know that Chris and our special guests on Talking Preacher will have a great time engaging fans in a lively discussion around this twisted and unpredictable new series."
The cast of the small-screen, comic-book adaptation will also include Joseph Gilgun, Ruth Negga, Lucy Griffiths, W. Earl Brown, Anatol Yusef, Tom Brooke, Derek Wilson and Ian Colletti.
