LONDON, May 11 (UPI) -- Rita Ora is quitting The X Factor after just one season.

The 25-year-old British singer confirmed she won't return to the ITV reality competition in a tweet Tuesday after serving as a judge on Season 12 in 2015.

"I had a ball on @TheXFactor last year and will miss the team," Ora wrote before addressing series creator Simon Cowell, "@simoncowell can't wait to work with you again... I'll be round for dinner soon. Thank you for the experience & love."

The "Radioactive" singer served as a judge with Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw. She mentored the Girls house with Meghan Trainor as her assistant, coaching contestant Louisa Johnson to victory.

"Rita brought a great energy to the show last year and did a brilliant job mentoring the girls' category," ITV said in a statement to the BBC. "We wish her all the best with her music and film plans for the rest of the year."

Fernandez-Versini and Grimshaw previously departed the series, leaving Cowell as the sole judge thus far for Season 13. Nicole Scherzinger, who served as a judge on Seasons 9 and 10, is rumored to be returning to the panel.
