LOS ANGELES, May 10 (UPI) -- Ryan Gosling said he didn't try on his suit before wearing it for his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, claiming he couldn't feel his calves.

Appearing opposite host Kimmel Monday night, Gosling said he had a "confession" to make to explain his discomfort.

"I didn't try this suit on before I came out," he said. "And I realize that, it's so tight...it's wildly inappropriate. I feel like I'm going steady with these pants."

While discussing The Nice Guys on the show, Gosling added he was reprimanded by the studio for not tweeting enough during a special screening of the movie.

"Well I guess we're coming out against Angry Birds and apparently we're getting crushed by Angry Birds, and we have to find a way to combat them," he said. "How do you out-tweet an Angry Bird?"

During Monday night's show, Gosling also appeared opposite Will Ferrell, who played a disgruntled television salesman trying to sell golden "Trump knives" during Kimmel's show.

Ferrell and Gosling wore red "Make Knives Great Again" hats while promoting the blades after the latter actor threatened to kill Kimmel for interrupting.

"Donald's got a lot on his plate, but you won't when you use your official Trump knife," Ferrell said before Gosling pulls out a golden steak. The skit takes a turn when Gosling seems to choke on a piece of the steak, watch what happens next here.
