Mischa Barton gets the boot on 'Dancing with the Stars'

LOS ANGELES, April 5 (UPI) -- Actress Mischa Barton and her professional partner Artem Chigvintsev were eliminated from Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars in Los Angeles Monday night.

"It's been a wonderful experience. It really has," The O.C. alum said after getting the boot.

Barton was the second celebrity to be cut from the show due to a combination of low scores from the judges and viewer votes. Geraldo Rivera exited last week.

Still in the running for the coveted mirror-ball trophy -- along with their professional partners -- are mixed martial artist Paige VanZant; singer Wanya Morris; football players Doug Flutie, Antonio Brown and Von Miller; actresses Jodie Sweetin and Kim Fields; Marla Maples, Donald Trump's ex-wife; America's Next Top Model's Nyle DiMarco; and meteorologist Ginger Zee.

DWTS is hosted by Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, while Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba serve as celebrity judges.
