LOS ANGELES, April 5 (UPI) -- Ayesha Curry has reportedly landed a new Food Network cooking show.
The 27-year-old "self proclaimed food critic" and wife to Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry confirmed the news after the Food Network discussed the project at the Scripps Networks upfront.
"Thank you so much for your kind words! I am so excited about my @CookingChannel #foodnetwork show !!! Stay tuned for details," Curry told her fans.
"I've been cooking since I was 12 years old for my entire family and now cook for my own little family and I'm thrilled to share it with you," she added. "For anyone who truly knows me, they know food is my way of making people feel great and warm and happy."
Curry has maintained a lifestyle blog for more than three years and will release her first book, The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith and the Joy of Eating Well, on Sept. 20. She often shares photos of her meals and projects on social media.
"Grab n go snack packs for mid day pick me up for bae (for those who were curious!)," she wrote Sunday. "White sweet potatoes, quinoa made with chicken broth, chicken w tumeric, oregano, lemon zest salt ... Super clean."
The Food Network told NBC Bay Area that the new series is "an idea with Ayesha" but still in development. Social media users had mixed reactions to the show, with many creating memes based on Curry's perceived slut-shaming comments.
"Everyone's into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters," she tweeted in December.
"And VOILĂ€! A finished product the whole family can enjoy! Because all my children have the same father!" pic.twitter.com/Oz6ozJmR1B
