NEW YORK, April 4 (UPI) -- Megan Hilty will guest star on CBS series The Good Wife. The network confirmed the 35-year-old actress will appear on a forthcoming Season 7 episode after star Matthew Morrison teased Hilty's guest spot on Instagram.
"GLEE VS. SMASH on @thegoodwife_cbs #tvshowscollide @meganhilty," the actor captioned a photo of himself facing off with Hilty.
Hilty and Morrison starred on the musical series Smash and Glee, respectively. The actress will play Holly Westfall, a rival business owner of Diane Lockhart's (Christine Baranski) husband, Kurt McVeigh (Gary Cole).
Morrison, meanwhile, joined The Good Wife as the recurring character Connor Fox in Season 7. The character is an assistant U.S. attorney investigating Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) husband, Peter (Chris Noth).
The Good Wife will come to a close in May after a seventh and final season. Series co-creators Robert and Michelle King told reporters in February they felt "very fortunate and flattered" to be ending the show "the way [they] hoped it would end."
Hilty is known for playing Ivy Lynn on Smash and Liz on Sean Saves the World. She also portrayed Glinda in Wicked and Doralee in 9 to 5: The Musical on Broadway.
