LOS ANGELES, March 31 (UPI) -- Melissa Joan Hart is working on a new '90s television revival.
The 39-year-old actress confirmed she's in talks to reboot either Clarissa Explains It All or Sabrina the Teenage Witch during an appearance on FABLife this week.
"I am going to a meeting after this," Hart revealed. "They're throwing around Clarissa and Sabrina ideas. It depends on who's going to give up rights, who's going to do it, how it's going to be done. It's a lot of politics and we are nowhere near doing anything."
Hart played Clarissa Darling on Clarissa Explains It All for a five-season run on Nickelodeon from 1991 to 1994. She went on to portray Sabrina Spellman on Sabrina the Teenage Witch for a seven-season run on ABC/The WB from 1996 to 2003.
"You can only go back to the well so many times," the actress previously told E! News. "It's either going to be done really well and people will only know me as this one character for the rest of my life, or it's going to be really embarrassing and I'll never work again."
"I think it's a really tricky, fine line to walk as an actor," she explained. "I had a fantastic time ... but I think you just have to be really careful with that stuff. I know the fans say they want it, but then they're really hard on you after."
Clarissa Explains It All follows Clarissa, a teenager attending high school in suburban Ohio. Sabrina the Teenage Witch, meanwhile, focuses on Sabrina, a half-witch who discovers she has powers on her 16th birthday.
Hart has since starred as Melissa Burke on ABC Family series Melissa & Joey, which came to a close after four seasons in August. She will next appear in God's Not Dead 2 with Jesse Metcalfe.
