Elizabeth Perkins, Kevin Nealon join NBC comedy pilot

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Former Weeds co-stars Elizabeth Perkins and Kevin Nealon have been cast in an upcoming comedy pilot for NBC.

The unnamed pilot comes from writer Charlie Grandy and executive producer Amy Poehler. Poehler will also act as director of the upcoming pilot.

The single-camera comedy will follow the hijinks of a royal family as they welcome back their "black sheep" played by Grimm actor Nico Evers-Swindell, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Emmy-nominated actress Perkins will reportedly play Queen Tuesday, opinionated ruler of Modaria, alongside Nealon, who will portray her oblivious counterpart, King Adrian.

Perkins also stars in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot from director Paul Feig while Nealon recently appeared in Ghost Squad.
