UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- USA Network says it has ordered a second season of Colony, starring Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies.

Created by Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal, the show is set in the near future and "centers on one family's struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles."

Episode four of the 10-part, first season is set to air Thursday night.

"Carlton and Ryan have successfully delivered a story that tests the strengths and weaknesses of a society in duress, and the bonds of a family divided," Chris McCumber, president of USA Network, said in a statement.

"Colony's performance across all platforms has been impressive, and we can't wait to see where the story takes us."
