LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Netflix has confirmed it is reviving the beloved dramedy series Gilmore Girls. "OY with the poodles, already! See you on set, Amy Sherman-Palladino, @thelaurengraham @alexisbledel. #GilmoreGirls," the streaming service tweeted Friday.

"I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it's time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007, to return to work.@netflix #GilmoreGirls," Graham said in a separate Twitter post, alongside a photo of her holding a coat.
Returning from the original series with Graham and Bledel are Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena.
The follow-up series, which does not have a title yet, is being executive produced by Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, who are writing and directing the sequel.
How many episodes and when they will premiere was not immediately disclosed. The original series ran seven seasons 2000-07, initially on The WB and then on The CW.
