Created and written by Charlie Brooker, the show is produced by House of Tomorrow, with Brooker and Annabel Jones serving as executive producers.

Netflix revealed in September it had ordered 12 episodes of Black Mirror, which focuses on the impact of current and possible future technologies.

"Charlie has created a one-of-a-kind series with an uncanny voice and prescient, darkly comedic vision," Netflix Vice President Cindy Holland said when the order was initially announced. "We're tremendously proud to bring Black Mirror to our members as a Netflix original series."
