PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Netflix announced Sunday it has ordered a second season of its original series Marvel's Jessica Jones.

Season 1 is currently streaming online.

The show is billed as "a suspenseful, edgy look into the life of Jessica Jones, one of the most popular new Marvel characters of the last decade."

"After a tragic ending to her short-lived superhero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a private investigator in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood," a synopsis said.

The show's cast includes Krysten Ritter as the title character, as well as David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval.
