LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan will star in Fox's forthcoming Rocky Horror Picture Show remake.
The 22-year-old actress and 22-year-old actor will play sweethearts Janet Weiss and Brad Majors, respectively. The pair join Orange is the New Black actress Laverne Cox, who was cast as mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter in October.
"I'm honored & thrilled to be playing Janet Weiss!" Justice tweeted after the news broke Monday. "Excited to work these guys on @RockyHorrorFOX - set to air on @FOXTV this fall! #RockyHorror."
Actor Staz Nair, who will appear on Game of Thrones Season 6, has also been cast as Frank-N-Furter's creation Rocky, while Penny Dreadful star Reeve Carney will portray Frank-N-Furter's servant Riff-Raff.
Julie Covington and Christopher Malcolm played Janet and Brad in the original 1973 production, while Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick took over for the 1975 movie adaptation. Tim Curry starred as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in both versions, as well as the 1975 Broadway run.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show remake will be directed, choreographed and executive produced by Hocus Pocus and High School Musical helmer Kenny Ortega, with original producer Lou Adler and The Jackal Group co-founder Gail Berman as co-executive producers.
Justice is known for playing Lola Martinez on Nickelodeon series Zoey 101, and went on to portray Tori Vega on Victorious and Lindy Sampson on MTV thriller Eye Candy. McCartan presently plays Diggie on Disney Channel sitcom Liv & Maddie.
